Located near Kyoto’s Heian Shrine, Cenci melds Italian heritage cuisine with Japanese techniques.

The entrance of the restaurant is beautiful , with an access through a red-brick tunnel built by chef-owner. The high-octane kitchen is raised above the elegant seating area. Guests can watch Sakamoto and his crew in action.

We were given the lovely private room which had a magnificent view over the indoor garden!

VERDICT:

Overall, the restaurant has a lovely decor and it was delicious meal. All ingredients are from Japan. The mini garden also add on a nice touch and warm ambiance. In the middle of the meal, Chef Ken greeted us and the staffs were wonderful and responsive. We had a great time at Cenci!
