Naked Finn first started out as a rustic shack in 2012 but later upgraded to a fancier space down the road in 39 Malan Road that serves top quality seafood from Japan and all around the world.

STARTERS & MAINS

1️⃣ 6 Chilled Oyster @ $8 each 🦪

🦐Sambal mata

Fresh red chilli with fermented black shallots with caviar lime oil and shrimp paste.

🍅Sambal hishell, green tomato, green chilli and caviar lime powder with lemon grass.

🌾Fermented soya bean deep so fermented garlic sauce, turmeric and chilli.

🇮🇪Pacific Irish oyster from Ireland

Pink guava with fermented chilli and garnacha vinegar topped up with olive oil and fried shallot, pomelo and Thai basil.

2️⃣ Baby Squid @  $16 🦑

Crispiness formed by potato and rice

3️⃣Samegarei $130 @ 650g @ $0.20/g 🐠

Dry aged for a few days.

Served with tomato, berry and vinegar & preserved  lemon with butter. When you slice the fish, you will see slightly pinkish on the meat meant to do that so to prevent fish to be overdone. White topping is pure and dehydrated roe of the fish shaved on top. The fish bones are deep fried as a cracker and can be eaten after.

VERDICT:

Overall, an innovative experience on firewood seafood dishes.

A great seafood experience - especially for oysters (big and fresh) and lobster selections. However, the menu priced is still considered on the high side.
