Malaysian omakase' is the concept behind Malaysia’s new addition to Asia’s 50 best restaurant list. At Eat and Cook , the chef decides what to cook for you right in front of you.⁣

The Stage, which can house about 12 pax, allows the diners to witness the open kitchen where the chefs work their magic at!

The private dining room is able to accommodate 6 pax at an intimate setting, suitable for parties or gatherings with friends and loved ones.

The menu is developed in ‘chapters’ and the team is currently delivering Chapter Four, which focuses heavily on seafood and meat.⁣

The current theme is triology which emphasises on balance, 🔺3 different sides and 3 different main points, with 17 courses.⁣

Staring with beginning 🏁and jump towards the earth 🌎, towards the sea 🌊, towards the land 🏔and finish with the end⌛️.

VERDICT

Overall, the concept is interesting and I felt Eat and Cook has the potential to be the next Labyrinth (You may see my post here.) I enjoyed “The Sea” the most and my favourite dish was the Ikan dish. Service was really good and the chefs and sommelier explained every dish and wine in detail which I really appreciate it. In addition, I learnt to appreciate many more local Malaysian ingredients used in the dishes. Overall a good experience and would love to try the new menu (Chapter 5) when the time comes!
