Following my Autumn and Spring Menu blog post, (you may read my reviews of both menus in the link above), this post features Esora’s Summer Menu.
Esora is a kappo fine dining restaurant at 15 Mohamed Sultan showcasing modern Japanese cuisine, currently helmed by Head Chef Takeshi Araki, alongside Chef de Cuisine Noboru Shimohigashi.
There is only one summer menu as follows:
Welcome drink
Kombucha (seasonal vegetables, baby corn) and Yuzu zest to enhance the flavours
Foie Gras Monaka
figs, myoga, ginger flower and fig jam
Kuruma Ebi
awabi, amera tomato; wasabi
Kegani
hakusai, gobou, shisho leaves, Chinese dragon cabbage, green dragon vegetable (青龙菜), wrapped in pillow pastry, boudoir purée

VERDICT:
I must say that the Chef and his team really puts in a lot of effort into food taste and presentation. It was a pleasant and tasty experience with the taste of summer in most of its dishes. Food spread is good enough to make you feel satisfied. However there is still room for improvement for the dessert menu. Overall, a great visit to Esora.
