Founded by Chef-Owner Dave Pynt, Burnt Ends is a modern barbecue restaurant in Singapore’s Dempsey Hill serving modern Australian barbecue and boutique wines and spirits in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.

We booked the private dining room which seats around 14 people and given a customised alacarte menu:

Appetisers

Smoked Egg Tart

Grissini & Taramasalata

-> Middle Eastern version of Japanese mentaiko as it's of cured pollock roe topped with kombu, chives, lemon, capers, evoo (olives crushed into a pulp) sitting on a crispy fat bread.

Uni and Caviar Sliders

King crab mayo topped with a dollop of uni and caviar, sandwiched in between brioche!

Steak Frites

Hand pressed golden-fried potato topped with

a cloud of raw beef and caviar.

Uni and Corn

Jamaican way of grilling chicken with spicy flavour seasoned with Scotch bonnet pepper and Lime Creame spread.

Fennel and Ikura

Special order by Mr. Gary! Terry Turbot is the fattiest Brittany Turbot, charcoal grilled on elevation grill & weighs around 1-2kg!

Served with fennel and carrot salad on the side!

86 days dry aged Blackmores Oven-Prepared Rib! 🥩

Still hungry after all that food, so we ordered Burnt End’s signature Pulled Pork Sanger (not part of the menu).. Tender, slow cooked pulled pork wrapped in between soft buttery brioche buns!!

Special, made-to-order Bombe Alaska birthday cake in the shape of the letter "G" for Gary lavered with citrus parfait and meringue!

Burnt End’s signature Berry Tart, the OG tart ! Sugar dough base filled with frangipani (almond flavoured custard), topped with a mixture of fresh blueberries and raspberries. Served with vanilla chantilly cream.

VERDICT:

After a long awaited booking, food did not disappoint. The dishes were intriguing to our taste buds and grilled over fire and BBQ to perfection with the use of simple ingredients. Looking forward to my next visit to Burnt Ends next year!
