Bacata is a new contemporary Colombian restaurant by Chef-Owner Fernando Arévalo located in Frasers Tower in the CBD of Singapore. The space of the 36-seater Bacata took over the now-defunct Preludio. The name Bacata is the ancestral name of Bogotá, where Chef Fernando was born.

APPETIZER
Tiradito ($28) traditionally served like crudo but Bacata's version is made up of sawara, cod liver, tigre de leche encased in kueh pie tee like tart.
Empanadas ($28), the Latin American version of our beloved curry puffs topped fatty otoro, tomato, horseradish.
Chipiron ($32): cuttlefish, squid ink spaghettini. Firm texture of cuttlefish and the accompanying spicy nduja and salted egg sauce, that pairs well with the fish!
Langosta ($48)
Boston Lobster, Andes Potato, White Corn, Capers
Chuleta de Pescado ($58)
Fatty, buttery Patagonian toothfish cooked in refreshing aguachile or ceviche-style sauce made of shrimp/scallop marinated in lime juice, cucumber and chilies.
Arroz Mixto ($18)
Colombian rice dish traditionally combines produce from the land and the sea. White asparagus and spring onion.
Iberico Pork Presa ($88)
Extremely tender, well marbled cut of the Iberico pork in between the shoulder and the loin, doused in punchy paprika and cayenne pepper sauce!

REVIEW:
It was a very nice experience, the food tasted amazing and we could feel the freshness in the ingredients. However the service could be better in terms of the story telling and the description of the food. The restaurant is recommended but it is not on the cheap side!
